TSC Subsea

We’re thrilled to announce that TSC Subsea has been awarded a significant contract with a major operator for the subsea inspection of insulated flexible pipes in the pre-salt region offshore Brazil! This contract will enable us to deliver continuous inspection services to our client from 2024 to 2026.

This multi-year contract is an incredible milestone for TSC Subsea, demonstrating the client’s belief and confidence in our ability to deliver the most advanced subsea inspection technologies and services on a regular and repeated basis.

We have a long heritage of inspecting subsea flexible pipes. Using our proprietary ART (Acoustic Resonance Technology) and the ROV-deployed scanner ARTEMIS, we can penetrate through highly attenuative sheaths, insulation materials, anti-wear tapes, and other layers in multiple thicknesses and configurations.

Since our Halfwave days, we have been investing in developing medium detection methods (gas or liquid) inside the annulus region of several types of flexible pipes, allowing us to establish a portfolio of baselines for a wide range of flexible pipe types.

In addition to conducting inspections using ART and ARTEMIS to collect acoustic data from the flexible pipe body, TSC Subsea will also deploy client-patented techniques using subsea phased array (SPA) ultrasonics or pressure measurements.

Fabio Puga, Country Manager, commented:

“We’re incredibly proud to have been selected to execute this contract. It’s a testament to our expertise and the quality of our services. This contract will enable our client to mitigate the SCC-CO2 risk by detecting unwanted mediums in the annulus region of their flexible pipes. I would like to thank everyone who helped us reach this milestone, from our outstanding offshore teams and office staff to our R&D teams, sales, and commercial departments.”
