We are delighted to announce that we have been officially recognised as a DNV approved service provider for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) utilising Alternating Current Field Measurement (ACFM®) on Offshore Projects and Offshore Units/Components, classed by the Society, in accordance with Class Programme DNV-CP-0484 and DNV-CP-0640.
Stuart Kenny, President of TSC Subsea, commented:
“It has been an extensive process but a very important one. This approval is a testament to our collective expertise, highly trained NDT engineers, and well-established systems. It demonstrates our continued commitment to ensuring that we meet the highest possible standards and deliver the best possible asset integrity services to our customers.”
ACFM is an electromagnetic NDT inspection method renowned for its accuracy in detecting and sizing subsea surface-breaking cracks. It has gained widespread recognition and approval from various certification bodies, including DNV, ABS, and Lloyds. By surpassing traditional non-computerised methods like magnetic particle inspection (MPI), ACFM has proven to be a superior and more reliable solution.
With our extensive experience spanning over a decade, we have successfully conducted ACFM inspections on critical welds found in pipelines and subsea structures using a variety of our subsea robotic solutions, including the MagCrawler and NodeScanner.
